Thinking Green:Textiles can be recycled

Our recycled fabric collection

The textile industry does not have the best reputation when it comes to protection of the environment. Every year big amounts of textiles are dumped, not only from the fashion industry, but also from household textiles. Fortunately, not all of these dumped fabrics are wasted. Fabric recycling has been on the rise in recent years.

We also try to contribute to a healthier environment. When replacing your old curtains, why not go for eco-friendly curtains, made with recycled yarns. These come with a Global Recycled Standard label. The Global Recycled Standard is an international, voluntary, full product standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices, and chemical restrictions. The objectives of the GRS are to define requirements to ensure accurate content claims, good working conditions, and that harmful environmental and chemical impacts are minimized. The standard covers processing, manufacturing, packaging, labelling, trading and distribution of all products made with a minimum of 20% recycled material. All our recycled curtain fabrics are produced with GRS certified polyester yarns.

We use otherwise valueless material and turn it into sustainable products, enabling you to minimize your ecological footprint, without compromising on quality or aesthetics.

In our recycled fabrics collection we have a range of lighter fabrics like voiles and sheers, plain or printed dimout fabrics, structured dimout fabrics, structured plain polyester fabrics and piece dyed knitted velvet.
